Karen Galipeau Forner
Managing Attorney
Karen Galipeau Forner is the founder and managing member of K-Solutions Law in Bellevue, WA. Karen represents employers in the areas of workplace safety, workers' compensation, administrative appeals and employment law. She is a frequent presenter at continuing legal education seminars and to employer groups. Karen offers on-site training and presentations on diversity, harrassment, employment law and other topics to meet client needs.
Prior to K-Solutions Law, Karen worked as Senior Attorney at AMS LAW in Seattle for 2 ½ years. From 1993 – 2007 Karen worked at the Washington State Attorney General’s Office. She was the Program Advisor for the Industrial Insurance and Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act (WISHA) Discrimination Programs for over ten years and the Program Advisor for the Workers Compensation Self Insurance Program. Karen also litigated complex WISHA, Industrial Insurance, Third Party and Crime Victims Compensation Act cases.
Karen Forner has an over 18 year successful track record in defending and resolving a wide range of workers' compensation, WISHA and employment law cases. Karen has the demonstrated ability to work with managers and human resources team members -- her people skills are as strong as her legal skills. She is adept in working in a wide variety of industries and organizations: hospitals, manufacturing, hotel and restaurants, transportation, construction, schools, universities and small businesses of all kinds.
In 1987, Karen received her Baccalaureate degree from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. She received her Juris Doctorate in 1991 from the University of Washington School of Law, where she was also an Associate Editor for the Washington Law Review. Karen is committed to the community. She has served on the Boards of Directors of EarthShare of Washington and Sound Mental Health and as an appointed member of the Washington State Bar Association’s Committee for Diversity. She currently serves on the Board of Eastside Domestic Violence Program.
Charlotte Grist
Associate Attorney
Charlotte Grist joined the team at K-Solutions Law in Bellevue, Washington in September of 2011. Charlotte enjoys representing employers’ interests in the areas of employment law, workers’ compensation, and workplace safety.
Prior to joining K-Solutions Law, Charlotte represented employers at Sussman Consulting on workers’ compensation claims, WISHA appeals, employment matters, and labor issues. She conducted on site workplace safety evaluations and investigations, presented findings, and completed reports for employers and administrative bodies. Charlotte also drafted employment contracts, reviewed and revised agreements, and updated employment handbooks to ensure compliance with discrimination and other pertinent law. Before Sussman, Charlotte gained a valuable counter perspective while working at Scott, Kinney, Fjelstad & Mack (SKFM), a firm primarily representing the interests of employees in the employment and workers’ compensation arenas. She also drafted chapters of West’s Workers’ Compensation Practice Digest for a partner at the firm. Charlotte is also a former journalist with excellent communication and organization skills.
Charlotte attended Seattle University School of Law and received her Juris Doctorate in May of 2009. Charlotte is committed to being a force for positive change in the community and helping people understand their rights. She volunteers at the Greenwood Neighborhood Legal and has also taken on pro bono immigration cases.
Wendi Saechao
Senior Paralegal
Wendi Saechao is a Senior Paralegal at K-Solutions Law, and has been involved with legal work since 1991. Wendi was a paralegal with AMS LAW for 2 ½ years prior to K-Solutions Law and a paralegal and legal assistant with the Washington State Attorney General’s Office for 7 years. Since 2003 Wendi has assisted Karen Galipeau Forner and other attorneys in multiple areas of representation such as workers' compensation, WISHA (OSHA), employment law, discrimination and Third Party cases, etc.
Wendi has also been involved with her local and international community through her church, family and other projects for many years. She has supported Union Gospel Mission, Compassion International and other outreach from Mexico to Thailand to South Africa to the Philippines.
Shannon Duty
Paralegal
Shannon Duty is a paralegal at K-Solutions Law. She has been a paralegal working exclusively assisting employers within the Washington workers’ compensation arena since 1995. Prior to that, she worked for a corporate law firm in downtown Portland, Oregon in the fields of corporate, transportation and health law.
Shannon’s interests include a wide range of sports, both watching and playing, (Go 49ners!), as well as reading, crafts and community activities.

Megan Duty
Paralegal
Megan Duty started working in the Oregon Workers’ Compensation system in 2001 and moved into the Washington Workers’ Compensation arena soon after. She has spent the past 4 years working for a local Independent Medical Examinations company providing quality assurance review for a variety of clients and jurisdictions across the country including examinations regarding workers’ compensation, disability, and auto liability. Megan is excited to be back representing employers in Washington Workers’ Compensation with K-Solutions Law.
Megan enjoys staying active at Redmond Crossfit, watching her favorite football team,The Green Bay Packers, and reading.

Louise Fisher
Legal Assistant
Louise Fisher is a Legal Assistant at K-Solutions Law, and she has been providing support in legal offices since 1992. Prior to K-Solutions Law, Louise worked as a Legal Assistant for lawyers in Snohomish County specializing in family law. Through her extensive office experience, Louise possesses excellent account, organizational and time management skills. Louise is committed to her community through her church and family.
